Lisa is brought to the hospital after her another escape. When she gets back, in the room of her ex-girlfriend she sees Suzanne and learns that her friend committed suicide.

After a while Lisa becomes close to Suzanne. She sees her old friend in her. She blames herself for a suicide of the former, and for this reason she escapes from the clinic together with Suzanne. Suzanne and Lisa stop for a night at the home of Daisy, who was recently releases from the clinic. Lisa tells Daisy that she was released only because she was incurable, and accuses her of incest with her father. In the morning Daisy commits a suicide. Lisa takes her money and offers Suzanne to go with her. Suzanne refuses and calls the ambulance. Melvin Potts takes Suzanne back to the clinic.

After this incident, Suzanne starts to talk about her problems and thoughts with doctors and keeps a personal diary. A few months later, Lisa is returned to the clinic. Lisa learns about the imminent release of Suzanne, steals her diary and starts reading it together with other patients. Suzanne hears the voices and goes down to Lisa and others. As she sees it, she tells Lisa that no one would be upset if she died because Lisa has long been dead. Suzanne’s words bring Lisa to a nervous breakdown.

Before her discharge from the clinic, Suzanne comes to visit Lisa, who tells her that she is not quite dead.
