According to Aristotle, the tragic hero is determined as some character who falls from a high position due to certain tragic flaws, including pride. When reading about Antigone, people should realize that she is a tragic hero, and there are many scenes and other details that display her pride and identify its effects on his entire life and its main circumstances. Could her life be completely difference if she behaved in a less prideful way?

Basically, many characters described in the plays of Sophocles seem to have their unique desire to break free from the total control and fate determined by gods. Based on things that can be read about Antigone, the main thing that Sophocles wanted is teaching the targeted audience about people’s ability to control their own fate and life. That’s why Antigone and other characters should be analyzed in terms of behaviors as a result on being aware of what the destiny will be. What are the key effective of discovering his destiny?

Characters involved in Antigone, a famous play written by Sophocles, need to decide whether they want to follow the words of the society about the right rules or they prefer their own beliefs and hearts. In most cases, a decision to choose the conscience is a more difficult and complex way to walk. Sophocles determines the hard choices made by his characters, so readers need to evaluate the effects of these life choices and their consequences.

Any tragedy involved a tragic hero who is its main protagonist with certain falls. Antigone is a true tragic hero created by Sophocles, but for some readers this fact may not be quite clear. They should look closely at this character to understand that it perfectly fits Aristotle’s definition. That’s because Antigone fits into the idea of having high positions and a flaw that results in her problems. She still manages to gain more respect throughout this well-known play, but she loses it in the end.

In conclusion, Antigone is powerful and respected by the community at the very beginning because many people like her in Thebes, but she is not as strong as Creon while showing a number of examples of the social power that she has. She also has a strong influence against Creon’s attempts to be stronger than gods, so he is faced with hard choices. Antigone is sociable, popular, and outgoing among others, but she is a tragic hero because she loses everything when this play ends.
