Othello - Deception in Othello

Othello, the Moor of Venice is the tragic play by William Shakespeare, written around 1604. The play's plot is based on the work Giraldi Cinta Moor of Venice. Deception is the main theme of the play, which touches all characters. It is difficult for the reader to judge who is deceiving whom. Deception is the weapon, which all characters use to reach their goals. Deception is a powerful and destructive force which compels the characters to distort their souls and continues to degenerate their mental state. Finally, it eventually leads to the final downfall of the characters. During the plays, all characters use deception as a method to establish their power and control over others. The most selfish character is Lago and he plays the fatal role in the conflict. He wants to take revenge of Othello because Lago lost the rank due to him. Lago sees the world through the abomination and the wickedness. He wants to desecrate the ideals of Othello, he manages to prove that Desdemona is dissolute and sinful.

In Othello focus concentrates on the relationship of a Venetian Moor and Desdemona's beauty. The main plot of the tragedy unfolds when Othello is convinced that his wife cheated on him and in love with Cassio. Othello tells her to admit it because he is going to kill her for the treason. Desdemona asks to call Cassio to refute her adultery, but Othello has already killed Cassio. Desdemona realizes that she has no way to prove her innocence and Othello kills her. The mistake of Shakespeare's character Othello is that he could not understand what true emotions experienced Desdemona, he saw only that she is afraid of him and feels fear and anguish. Othello was firmly convinced that the only source of Desdemona’s emotions is to expose her an infidelity. He did not think to kill Desdemona. The greatness of Othello show that he believes the villain and commit a crime, but he harshly punishes himself after that.

If we want to avoid "mistakes Othello", we should not be tempted, we must make the conclusions, and always strive to consider other reasons. Even if it seems to be the most obvious cause of the emotions of the interlocutor. There are different reasons for fear; they will look exactly the same as the fear of an uncomplicated man who afraid that other people will not believe him.
