United States of America appeared thanks to the efforts of a group of American politicians, which received a name as a group of Founding Fathers of the USA. Typically, the delegates of the Continental Congress, who signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, are believed to be the members of this group. Those, who prepared the adoption of the US Constitution in 1787, are also accounted as the Founding Fathers. Actually, there were all almost the same people, who arranged the American Revolution of 1776- 1787. Letters, papers, publications, and other texts that are related to the Founding Fathers, are something like the Holy Scriptures of the American people.
The most important role in the founding of the American state, adoption of independence and the establishment of the principles of a new political system was played by the following people: the first president and the commander in chief of US forces during the War of Independence, George Washington; author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President, Thomas Jefferson; the second US President John Adams; the fourth president of the United States and the US Constitution developer James Madison; the leader of the Federalist Party, a prominent constitutional lawyer and philosopher, Alexander Hamilton; a scientist and a politician, one of the ideologists of the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin; a prominent publicist, ideologist of the American Revolution, Thomas Paine; the first chairman of the US and diplomat of High Court, John Jay. Let’s look closely at three Founding Fathers of the United States.
The first on the list is George Washington, the commander in chief of the Continental Army, the winner in the war for independence, the man, who created the institute of the US presidency, and became the first US president. The Americans call him Father of the Fatherland. He was an ideal politician, a man of impeccable reputation, and a father of American democracy.
Another Founding Father of the United States is Thomas Jefferson, the third US president, the author of the most important document in American history – the Declaration of Independence. He was a wonderfully talented philosopher, liberal, humanist, as well as a cold-blooded slave owner, prudent businessman, and a convinced Mason.
John Adams is another Founding Father of the United States. He was a prominent figure in American Revolutionary War, the first vice president and the second US President. Together with his wife they became the founder of an entire dynasty of politicians.
