The Definition of Intellectual Development

Intellectual development is the formation of the ability to master and use different types of thinking (empirical, imaginative, theoretical, specific and historical, dialectical). The integral part of intellectual development is the ability to expose to self-analysis the events and phenomena of reality, to make own conclusions and generalizations.

Scientists have proved that the intellectual development of a man takes place constantly, because one works, acquires new knowledge playing games, at school, university or other educational institutions, receives new skills by getting in different life situations.

Particularly active human intelligence begins to develop in the assimilation of new skills and their creative application in practice, that is, committing such actions, which contain a rich and valuable material for the development of a person’s intellect.

Intellectual development of a person takes place, as mentioned earlier, thanks to the studies in various educational institutions. Thus the study of each school or high school academic subject, laboratory and independent work teach students to apply the theory into practice.

Practical skills contribute in turn to deepen the theoretical knowledge obtained earlier and better understanding it. When knowledge and practical ability achieve perfection, reaching the automatism, they turn into skills.

In order for the intellectual development of a person not to stop at a certain level, teachers of educational institutions need to find the right motivation in order for students not to lose interest in obtaining new knowledge. Teachers need to interest students in some activities.

One way to create such a motivation in the classroom may be holding various conferences and debates, i.e., activities where students can engage in scientific debate, play a specific play for development, and so on.

If a student is capable without wrangling meet the requirements of teachers, seniors, they have self-discipline skills, and they respect the opinion of the team, you can try to put pressure on those of a student’s feelings like responsibility and duty to bring up motivation to learn in them.

Summarizing all the above, we can conclude that intellectual development of a person during the training process depends also on the teaching staff of educational institution and its ability to properly motivate students to want to gain new knowledge.
