Ethics Effect the Behavior of an Individual

Ethics is usually used in two senses. On the one hand, ethics is the area of knowledge, a scientific discipline that studies morals, their appearance, dynamics, factors, and changes. On the other hand, ethics (in the broadest sense of the word) refers to a set of universal and specific moral requirements, behavioral rules, and their practical implementation.

Morality is a social institution, consisting of a system of standards (set of principles or rules of moral conduct), recognized and shared by members of the cultural community. The moral is what a person must do to comply with social norms of behavior. The moral is one of the main ways of a normative regulation of person’s activity and behavior; it is a special form of social consciousness and a kind of public relations.

In any society, the vast multitude of actions should be agreed in a collective mass activity and all its diversity obey certain general social laws. Ethics performs this function along with other types of normative regulation (such as law, customs, traditions, organizational statutes, administrative regulations, and others).

Ethics exercises regulatory effects on the behavior and activities of people in all the areas of their social life (professional activities, daily life, politics, science, family, personal, intragroup and intergroup, and international relations).Mmoral principles have universal social value and apply to all people, fixing that common ground that is the culture of interpersonal relations and is deposited in the centuries-old experience of mankind.

Ethics as a science tries to answer the fundamental questions that are essential for an understanding of what behavior is moral.

Human behavior is determined by the values and preferences, which a person adheres to. Ethical values, which are expressed in an individual’s perception of good and evil, justice and injustice, shameful and what is worthy of respect, in turn, are a part of a broader regulatory system – human worldview. The latter includes not only ethical, but also other values, such as aesthetic, religious, educational, and knowledge of reality, folding in a certain picture of the world, and the programs of action, a person intends to implement in life. Thus, in order to understand and predict human behavior, and to affect it, it is necessary to analyze moral values and a worldview of an individual.

Relationships between people can significantly affect the degree of ethical conduct. The impact of the authoritative person can also significantly change the behavior of the person, affecting ethics. The nature of interpersonal relationships can either increase or decrease the level of moral behavior.
