Cameron Jarrell Newton is an American professional football player, who plays at the quarterback position in the club of the National Football League, Carolina Panthers. At the student level, Cameron played for the team of Auburn University. In the NFL Draft 2011, he was selected under the first Panthers number. Newton is the only player of the modern era, who managed to win the Heisman Trophy, the national championship, and become the number one draft pick in one year.

He missed the first two games of the season in 2014, because of injuries received in a car accident. Even so, he has helped Panthers that started the season with a 3-8-1 result to go to the playoffs and win the first match of the postseason games, becoming the first quarterback in the history of the NFC South, who managed to win two titles of the champion of Division in a row.
