Just a few words about Awakening within Movie

After 30 years, Leonard was granted the chance to live again. The given chance was ensured by the L. Dopa drug. Having awakened, Leonard stumbles on the fact that he has lost up to 30 years of his life. That’s unveiled when Dr.Sayer takes a picture of Leonard and lets him compare the newly obtained picture with a self-portrait. Leonard is eagerly looking forward to do a lot and without delay. He’s naturally eager to become a normal person. He also wants to enjoy freedom and have relationships with other folks. At first, his awakening appeared to be quite overwhelming, but then he managed to adapt to his new life. Currently aged 50, he becomes a vivid example of the drug’s effects on human beings. Dr. Sayer carefully monitors Leonard’s overall progress, while Leonard starts regressing. However, he insists that Dr. Sayer to keep recording and carefully observing his personality for scientific research.

The first words of Leonard were “I’m awake.” That’s what he pronounced with a great emotion. Of course, he was aware of the fact that he had been sleeping, but he couldn’t imagine that it was so long. Before his complete awakening, Dr. Sayer spent a great number of hours exploring Leonard. He found out that he was similar to a live animal, which couldn’t break free. It clearly demonstrated his dedication. In fact, exactly Dr, Sayer’s unique scientific research into the L.Dopa drug made Leonard’s awakening possible. Dr. Sayer simply noticed a huge potential of this drug and gave it a try. As Leonard took this drug, Dr. Sayer observed little effect, though this made him more persistent and the dosage was drastically increased. Initially, the dose was 200 mg, though through Dr. Sayer’s persistence it reached up to 1000 mg. As a result, Leonard’s awakening came true.

At first, Leonard didn’t want to go to sleep as he was subject to the extremely strong fear of never waking again. His mom had to sing this guy to sleep just like she did when he was young and unaffected by the neurological effects of encephalitis. As time passed, Leonard was eager to gain independence as well as a fantastic ability to go to any place and do anything at any time. There’s nothing surprising in his desire to learn doing things very quickly just to catch up with numerous opportunities missed by him in the vegetable state.

His enormous desire for a normal relationship was fully realized when he came across Paula at the hospital when she came to visit her dad who was a patient. They discussed a lot of things and became good friends.
