Youse Member Niger Reviews

The exploitation of slaves was a big thing among wealthy people in the past. White people went to Africa to get and exploit Africans of different ages so that there were many locals brought to America this way. Unfortunately, some of them died, while others survived after boat trips before being sold to their masters who bought them to work on farms and do other things.

Basically, there were two key types of slaves, field and domestic. Domestic slaves worked inside the houses of their masters, while field slaves worked outside in farms. Their main responsibilities included cooking, cleaning, and doing other regular house chores. These slaves were dressed in clean clothes because they needed to look good indoors with the families and guests of their masters. Field slaves did the necessary farm work and they suffered the most because they stayed outdoors all the time and under any weather conditions.

When reading the story Youse Member Nigger, you should understand that it’s focused on being slaves. Its plot is about the master who sets the main character, slave Old John, free. His master is called Ole Massa in this story and he has a wife, Ole Missy, and 2 kids. Once upon a time, his children went to the lake on their boat, but they lost their oars and were going to turn over. Luckily, Old John was working in the field and saw them in trouble. He and his wife followed the shore because they wanted to find kids, but none of them wanted to jump in the lake. Old John decided to jump in the lake to save children because he was a slave so that he had no other choice than jumping. That’s why his master was grateful and decided to set him free.

In addition, to paint a clear picture of this short story, you should get a better understanding of the rights that slaves had in the past. You will be surprised to learn that they had no right at all, regardless of their social or any other position. That’s why this subject is so well-lit in many literature works, including Youse Member Niger. The good news is that everything is in the past because there is no slavery nowadays.

Think about the amount of work that slaves had to do in fields and how masters often treated them to understand the lives they had to live. The worst part is that they were denied their basic rights, regardless of whether they stayed in the US or England. It’s no wonder they started their battle for their rights and freedoms that finished successfully according to historical facts.
