Tactics Being Deployed in World War 1

When it comes to WWI, there are many interesting tactics that were used, but people keep speculating about them so that they require in-depth research. First of all, they included infantry weapons. In the very beginning of this war, average soldiers inside trenches had only three weapons, including bayonets, rifles, and grenades. Average British soldiers had 303, and this number is amazing.

Don’t forget about tanks because they were important for different war strategies. Keep in mind that they were first introduced by England, but they broke down very easily and fast (by getting stuck in the mud instead of getting shot at). However, tanks were quite destructive because they blew up everything on their way if they succeeded to pass into war zones without breaking down for different technical reasons.

Machine guns were first introduced by Germans, but then all parties in this war had them. Before the end of this war, all artillery soldiers had them. You shouldn’t overlook mortars because they were those pressure powered tube figures that shot out small bombs so that they were also important for war tactics. Basically, they were mainly used to cut wires in preparing for attacks or raids and destroy saps, dugouts, and different entrenchments.

Artillery was also important because soldiers annihilated battlefields, but they were not always successful in their efforts for different reasons, including a slow speed of reloading and a weak aiming. When artillery was successful, it brought a lot of havoc into the trenches of opposing sides.

The use of gasses was an important tactic in WWI, and they were first used in trench warfare, and their basic purpose was annihilating rivals. There are many proofs that this war tactic was very unsuccessful when being blown into rival trenches because the wind could pull gasses back and kill them. That’s why people had to invent effective methods to successful use gasses without killing themselves, and using special gas masks is one of them.

The use of flamethrowers was another interesting war tactic, and Germans were the first to give it a try. They were used to make battlefields burning, thus making them impossible to pass for rivals. These machines were easily blown up due to their poor engineering. In conclusion, barbed wires should be mentioned because they were mainly used to slow down the soldiers of opposing sides by getting in their way.
