Ghandi and the Quest for Peace

When it comes to the history of the 19th century, there are many raging debates about relationships between Great Britain and Southern Asia. The main reason is that most of these regions experienced the direct political control of Europe. Find out more about the broad upsurge of anti-European sentiments that were mostly influenced by Gandhi.

Think about this extraordinary historic figure because he succeeded to draw Indian masses into the well-known nationalist movement. Basically, Mohandas believed in the soul force or Satyagraha and its help in seeking social justice via passive resistance. He also believed in the moral philosophy of nonviolence and tolerance.

Gandhi published his Home Rule or Hind Swaraj in response to those Indian groups who favored the removal of British influence by different violent means, and this is where he tried to explain to readers his interesting theory of nonresistance. Besides, he made quite a strong argument for the use of passive resistance by his nation. It’s worth mentioning that he Mohandas was very infuriated by the presence of those laws and regulations that discriminated and exploited his people.

Think about those forces that were sent to India to suppress existing anti-colonial movements and keep colonizing the land. However, Gandhi saw many differences with the modern civilization. His opinion is that any civilization is self-destructible by default and it always equated irreligion. This means that it’s unforgiving and violent in its nature so that he saw passive resistance as a better and more intelligent path to choose for all people.

Mohandas believed that both Hindus and Muslims could live together in peace in India due to exercising their soul-force, but there is no civilization that could teach that. It’s true that the use of soul-force is not prevalent in people’s history. According to Gandhi’s words, it’s the only existing way to handle differences and unfair treatments.

In summary, he is still considered one of the greatest people in the world. He was a philosophical anarchist, conservative socialist, primitive communist, and pro-capitalist. Mohandas was more concerned with means, but not perfect systems. India was able to win its independence because of his personality and political methods so that he had a huge impact on the history of this country. His personality is still used as an example for many modern politicians.
