Huckleberry Finn's Mississippi Journey

For many people, adventures are quite an exciting, risky, and unusual experience that they remember for a long time. When it comes to Adventures of Huckleberry Finn written by Mark Twain, the main character decides to go on his adventures down Mississippi. People can read about his interesting and unique experiences along his way.

The whole book is about the journey that Huck goes through because he faced the challenges of living on a raft and the necessity to keep looking for money and food. This is what makes him grow morally while meeting different people and developing certain bonds with them. As he ventures throughout this exciting journey, Huck also manages to pursue his moral journey.

The author revealed the South through the eyes of the main character of this book. Huck is accompanied by a slave called Jim who is his only companion during their journey. This well-known story starts with Huck writing his plot where he describes everything that has happened to him. Tom and Huck discovered hidden treasures, but Judge Thatcher holds money for them. The good news is that he was adopted by Miss Watson and Widow Douglas who failed to civilize him, no matter how hard they tried.

It’s no wonder Huck feels annoyed with his life and Tom sways him by giving a promise to create a gang of skilled robbers. It’s interesting that many local boys want to join this band so that they start using a cave as their hidden place. However, they become tired quite fast because it lacks adventures.

Huck sees interesting footprints in the snow and he thinks that they belong to his Pa. This is how he decides that Pa came back to get his money so that he decides to run to Judge Thatcher and sell his share. Unfortunately, Pa catches him and threatens to beat him if he will keep going to school. Another bad event is that a new town judge refuses to separate Huck and his Pa. Maybe, that’s why Huck wants to escape because he is tired of Pa who keeps beating him.

One day, Huck takes his chance to escape, and this is how his journey begins. The river starts flooding so that the entire house floats. Huck climbs inside to see what can be saved. Finally, the main character seems a bit arrogant at the very beginning of this story and he doesn’t seem to have good morals. He starts changing and learns how to determine right and wrong despite the opinions of the society so that this adventure plays an important role in his life.
