The death penalty was used as a scare tactic for centuries, officially beginning in the 18th century B.C. Now, in the 21st century, most things have entirely altered; you will find far more murders, rapes, and other dreadful offences that have come to maneuver on a daily basis. Some nations in the U.S. have selected to eliminate the death penalty, regardless of the offense. The reason a state this is as it is inhumane, cruel and unusual punishment. But what of those victims, the households? Think about the cruel and unusual punishment that has been served with them? Knowing that a criminal, not only violated, but killed a loved one? These offenders are locked up for life, in a cushy mobile, given 3 square meals daily, workout, TV time, and outside time. It seems that the lifetime of an offender isn’t so bad. Who's wouldn’t need to live, eat, and even sleep free of charge, with no obligation to pay obligations, or be worried about anything else? A simple solution would be to not just enforce the death penalty in all states, yet to utilize it rigorously too. Some of those states which have abolished the death penalty have had more heinous crimes committed compared to countries who do have the death penalty. A criminal knows that if awarded the death penalty, there's absolutely no “out” whereas when there is no punishment, they get life in jail, that isn’t so terribly bad and people wonder why the prisons are overcrowded at the United States. On the Bureau of Prisons site, it is stated that “The Bureau of Prisons provides services and programs to address inmate needs, structure utilization of leisure, and facilitate the successful reintegration of offenders into society (BOP).
