I read the book Drowning Anna by Sue Mayfield. It is a novel about a woman who's forced to take care of a ruthless bully, '' Hayley Parkin. She also goes through heartbreak, backstabbing, and even more. Anna Goldsmith, the main character of the book, goes from a classy city in London, England, into a small Yorkshire town. At first, she's treated as a queen, mainly due to her movie-star great looks. She has beautiful dark hair, and flawless, luminous skin. She is also an A student. She plays with the in the orchestra and succeeds in everything that she does. Everyone liked her in the beginning, particularly Hayley Parkin. Hayley is wealthy and lovely with long blond hair. She is the favorite girl who everyone bows down to. Hayley and Anna were inseparable initially. Haley would buy Anna clothing and fancy watches. Additionally at lunch Hayley would buy Anna cokes every day. And only as Anna believed she had a best friend already, for she'd just been in the new school for a week, things shifted, and they shifted fast. Hayley and Anna had only been friends for a week, and Hayley did everything she usually did to each of her friends. She dropped her, fully ignored her and didnвЂ™t talk to her. Hayley consistently did so to her buddies. She decided that they werenвЂ™t good enough and lost them like flies. But there was something different about Anna.
