Two really good stories are The Chrysalids by John Wyndham and "By The Waters Of Babylon" by Stephen Vincent Benet. These two stories are sci-fi and portray what human civilizations would be like after a nuclear holocaust. The consequence of the holocaust has shifted the Hill Individuals and Waknuk people's morals and religious beliefs. The main difference between the stories is just one is seeing the future as optimistic the other is depicting the near future negatively. The Chrysalids was a better story. It depicted what humans behave like. In the subsequent paragraphs many points will be looked upon in order to demonstrate that The Chrysalids is a much better story. What these villages don't know they make up stories to describe them. A few of the differences in establishing are some Hill People understand what is about them. Nobody in Waknuk knows what's around them. In "From The Waters Of Babylon" priests are allowed to go into dead areas, where as in Waknuk nobody is allowed to enter the fringes. "By The Waters Of Babylon" occurs in New York. The Chrysalids is put in Labrador. What the Hill People do not know they attributed to God in which in Waknuk what's unknown is connected with the devil. The novel The Chrysalids starts out if the main character, David is having a fantasy. The fantasy is all about a town with flying objects from the skies and buggies without horses to pull them.
