King Lear would be To Contain William Shakespeare's play, "King Lear", the principal character, King Lear, promises to be "a man more sinned against than sinning"(3.2.60-61). Though a fantastic king, King Lear's own activities cause his loved ones and kingdom to fall apart. The sins committed to King Lear are Due to the personal faults of rashness, blindness, and foolishness. King Lear's hot temper and hasty decisions play a substantial part in his fall from grace. His previous age has caused him to act impulsively, with no consideration for the consequences of his or her actions. If Lear asks his loyal girl Cordelia to say her love for him, he becomes upset with her because she cannot put her emotions into words. He does not understand that she cares deeply for him and disowns her saying, "Here I disclaim all my paternal care, propinquity and land of blood, and as a stranger into my heart and me maintain thee from that for ever (1.1.120-123)." It is only later, when Cordelia gets left him, that Lear understands he had made a wrong choice. In a different sense of anger, Lear.
