Intro and Background: Earth energy has been one of the best developments within the field of renewable energy in the last several years. Wind farms, even based off of energy generation facts, are pivotal in our society, to the continuing push to decrease fossil fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions. To the untrained eye, they still seem as though they are too fantastic to be accurate; a much more affordable kind of energy that also emits less pollution than traditional forms of energy generation (find a source for it) sounds perfect, right? But, there has been growing tension between the wind power sector and environmental groups since the Obama government continues pushing for more renewable energy jobs. Several things have caused this tension. In 2008, a post by NBC News stated, “because end energy has gained such grip, whooping cranes could again be at risk вЂ" either from crashing to the towering wind turbines and transmission lines or because of habitat lost to the end farms.” With the shocking quotes climbing as large as 40,000 wind turbines to be constructed and built from the U.S. found amidst the 200-mile broad migration corridor traveled with the whooping craneand surely a negative effect on the federally endangered species would happen. The American Wind Energy Association climbed by 45 percent in 2007 hence the significance to the future of energy in our country is undeniable, but with the threatening of the endangered species, one of other bird species, tension grew and is impacting a variety of issues today and will be influencing them in the long run as well (“Wind Turbine”).
