A Christmas Carol Stave 1: Scrooge's character is found early in stave 1. Dickens shows his popularity by showing us his relationships with individuals in his environment. We could tell scrooge is unpopular since the narrator describes him as a "handsome fisted hand at the grindstone." Scrooges name give us a similarity between the term scrounge what is to become tight with money and every chance to generate money, this automatically helps us launch an understanding that he is tight with his money, what is necessary to associate him as dreadful old man. After the narrator is describing Scrooge he uses words that help people negotiate an opinion that Scrooge is a competitive and is detested by person. It will help us find out that scrooge is a bitter, mean, twisted, darkened and greedy older guy. The narrator Charles Dickens assembles the basis of our comprehension of our understanding that he's loathed by referring to him as "a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner" that helps us depict that scrooge is tight with his money. Dickens also tells us that he's "External heart and cold had little influence on scrooge" and also that scrooge states "no warmth, without a wintry winter cold chill scrooge." In general scrooge is described to have bad relations with different people and literally he's a loner, but this is exactly what he needs. Scrooge is known by individuals as a sour old man, as when he walks down to the street people avoid his wicked ways. In a way it like scrooge wants to remain alone and he might like being despised by others. Dickens goes on to mention how he was averted on the street, "No beggars implored him to bestow a trifle" and that no one would dare offer a greeting as they would just be ignor...
