The White Rabbit As I sit out The White Rabbit and scan the crowd of concertgoers collecting across a wall decorated with a painting of Iggy Pop, my eyes fixate on a loner standing up from a wall. He's a young guy with dark, shaggy hair that falls marginally over his eyes and is wearing black skinny jeans, a royal blue t-shirt , and black Converse sneakers. Every five to ten minutes, he shakes his head slightly so that his hair drops back into the left side of his face. Together with his palms shoved into the front pockets of his jeans, he's leaning against the wall as he stares at the floor. When he does seem around, he makes no eye contact with any of the fellow concertgoers him around. He maintains this stance for over an hour until the gate opens and he makes his way to the place. It's at this moment the uncomfortable and nervous look on his head slips into a joyful and excited appearance. It is then I see a smile beaming from ear to ear. In the back of the line, stands a couple discussing. My first response to this couple was one of miracle because the woman appeared far too youthful for the man, but then I realized this wasn't a romantic couplethis was a father taking his teenaged daughter to a concert. The father, with his receding grey hairline and blossom, appears to be roughly 50 years old. He's dressed in blue jeans and a mechanicвЂ™s function shirt. His hands, stained by grease and oil of his workday, proceed through the atmosphere as he seems to instruct the daughter to remain in line as he walks into the front of the lineup to peer into The White Rabbit. As he looks through the gate that is locked, his hands stay on his buttocks as he assesses the venue. A look of concern washes over his face. Perhaps this is the very first time he's allowi...
