Evaluation of two poems; Prayer Before Birth and Easter Monday inside this essay I will be analysing two poems. Both sexes reflect on the theme of war. I will be analysing them throughout their own meanings, forms and reveal the way the artists use language to express their ideas and feelings. I have decided to look at the poems Prayer Before Birth by Louis MacNeice and Easter Monday by Eleanor Farjeon. Louis MacNeice was born in 1907that he expired in 1963. His mom died when he was young and her death obtained to him intensely. He studied at Oxford and had been among a bunch of poets here who became more famous. He had been intensely influenced by the political events of the 1930's and also by the Second World War. This poem is all about a unborn child praying that it needs to be born into a great world. The only real thing which provides pictures of this great planet is verse number three and the graphics of goodness are linked to character; water, grass, trees, sky and a white light to guide him. All the other verses are full of images of a world of hostility, repression, distraction and a lot of them refer to things that.
