Nature as God God is known as a close friend, parent, guide and protector. Book 1 of The Prelude, by William Wordsworth, doesn't directly mention God but Wordsworth does discuss Nature. Nature is throughout him and becomes extremely significant in his present and past. Wordsworth is indeed enamored with nature it's apparent that Nature is a religion to him. Parents frequently make others feel secure and shielded and God frequently plays the function of a parent shape. Wordsworth implies that he feels at ``home'' with Nature, of where he's regardless. He questions, "In what Vale/ Will be my harbour? Underneath what grove/ shall I consider up my home, and what nice stream/ will using its murmurs lull me to relax? (Lines 11-14)." He considers most of Nature a house and looks forward to locating out exactly what will sing him to rest. Nature gives Wordsworth an excellent feeling of safety, just as God will for others often. Although it is allowed by him be considered a back-up to fall back on, he enables the same Nature be considered a path to the near future also. Most would think God guides the road but Wordsworth believes that Nature guides his path. Wordsworth says, "The planet earth is definitely all before me: with a center/ Joyous, nor scared at its liberty,/ I look about, and really should the information I chuse/ be nothing at all much better than a wandering cloud,/ I cannot miss my method (lines15-19)." He Thompson 2 places his trust and faith into Nature. This is one way Wordsworth comes to understand that whatever road he's led to he can not be wrong because all roads in Nature are divine. He provides blind faith because whatever route nature makes he'll follow. Wordsworth takes on an extremely pantheistic view and sees the universe and nature as divine.
