The focus of the study is to investigate how the learning environment could contribute to fostering a growth mindset with pupils. Too many pupils are concentrated on the final grade received on a mission instead of identifying and learning in the patterns of their mistakes. I feel that a positive learning environment can help change students' method of learning by acquiring a development mindset. A positive learning environment is one in which students feel secure and comfortable with making errors. It is a place where students feel academically encouraged despite their degree of understanding of a specific topic. My theory is that student mindset mirrors the learning environment. My intervention is focused around getting students to focus on the practice of studying (i.e. thinking about how they got for their answer as opposed to what the ideal answer really is) A supportive factor also contains the type of praise my students will be receiving from me. I aspire to create an environment in which praise is provided through (not just after) the process of studying and it will be rewarding endeavor on behalf of this student instead of what they're learning. A student with a development mindset will observe a wrong answer as an indicator of what they have to work on a little more compared to simply what they do not know or have neglected to learn. Pupils with an increase mindset understand with effort and time, their ability to learn the material will increase. On the other hand, a student with a fixed mindset will attribute their setbacks to their ability.
