Killing a Ten Point Buck The deer period last fall was my most successful season ever. I've been deer hunting since I was fourteen. Each year I have shot at least one deer, but none were that particular because they had been all does. This season because I was going to wrestling and college I didn't think I would have a chance to acquire the huge buck. The firearm deer season started on Friday, November 15 1996. This was terrible for me because I had to consider at two o'clock to get a wrestling match at Muskegon the following moment. Though I had to drive all the way to Muskegon on Saturday morning, I couldn't stand the notion of not having the ability to sit out there in the field and just enjoy the outside on launching. I was still determined not to miss opening day, since I hadn't ever missed it earlier. Once I weighed in I said the hell with it and cried in my car and headed for home. Following an hour and twenty five minute drive I was home. I still had over 2 hours of prime searching left. I found several deer that day but they were all too far away to get a shot. Just before dark I had a doe come in to approximately 125 metres away. Knowing that there was little chance that I was able to hit the bull that I took an opportunity. Sure enough It was a clean miss. Disappointed I jumped back in my car and headed back to East Lansing. The following evening I ended up at five in the afternoon and led to Muskegon. The following Tuesday my roommate and I chose to try are fortune again. My roommate and I went to high school together and we had always been searching partners. I had a course at one o'clock that afternoon so we could only search till eleven that afternoon. We were at the area a half hour before lighting. I was convinced that I might get a descent shot off the morning. When it got light.
