Military service should be voluntary due to the sacrifices and choices the military forces individuals to create. As a military child I understand what the army support can do to lifestyles, relationships and people. The time spent serving in the army can uproot or different families, friends and ruin those relationships. The places you live and how you live will probably change. The training, expectations and items that the army compels you to do will change people and not necessarily for the ideal. The military isn't for everybody and making support compulsory will cause more issues for our state and its people than its worth. Throughout my life I have lived in six distinct areas over sixteen years and have spent decades of the time separated from my mother due to the military. Not being able to have a steady environment during my childhood had its proвЂ™s and conвЂ™therefore but the loss of friends and constantly changing schools was still challenging. The army had compelled my mom to move every 3 years, take courses that sent her away from her family and survive off of a military pay check. The path that my mom had selected to take in her profession was even one which the military had believed family oriented. This was fine because it was her choice to live this way. However some folks are not willing to make these sacrifices because itвЂ™s not the way they want to spend their lifetime so they shouldnвЂ™t be forced to. Not many individuals have the power to serve their country through military service or intelligent enough to become successfully obedient.
