One of the challenges facing nurses now is learning how to become a successful leader. Assessing and analyzing the manner of direction the nurse possesses is the very first step in confronting the struggle. The objective of this paper is to analyze and comprehend the characteristics of my manner of leadership from an assessment performed by Gallup Power Finders and DiSC and compare the advantages that I have in common with Eleanor Roosevelt. For me to become a successful leader, I must first evaluate my strengths. I took the Gallup 2.0 Power Finder report which revealed my strengths in an insight and activity planning guide. The results indicated the top five themes for me were entered, learner, responsibility, maximizer and arranger. I believe the evaluation offered an accurate assessment of my strengths. The input says my mind resembles a sponge, soaking up info. As a lifelong learner, the second theme is also, right. I've got a quest for knowledge of matters that interest mepersonally. I am responsible, in my occupation and lifestyle. As a maximizer, I focus on long term objectives and strive toward excellence. As a nurse, working in an environment of change, the arranger power in my character allows me to adapt easily and figure out the best approach to accomplish jobs (Strengths, 2012). Additionally, I took the DiSC Work of Leaders Profile to test my style. The results indicate I fall involving Steadiness and Conscientiousness, leaning more towards Steadiness that gives me the style SC. The three direction priorities closest to my style dot of SC reveal I am humble, inclusive and deliberate. This indicates I like a work environment of cooperation assisting others in achieving their targets. Folks see me calm, reliable, dependable and sensible. .
