The sound of crickets hung on the dense fog and the odor of the brisk Sunday morning air circulates around the car. "David, where are we heading at six in the afternoon to a Sunday?" Jane requested. A heavy rumbling laugh came in David's throat when he stepped out the doorway in his forest green pullover and black cap to place a basket of food in the car. "David!" Jane raised her voice, bloated. "Jane, just be silent for a couple minutes and get in the car." David reacted, half laughing. Jane kicked at a dirt just outside the doorway and trudged out to the car. Jane's silence lasted throughout the automobile ride, till they got to the docks. "Are we meeting a distant uncle of yours out here or something?" Jane asked.
