"The Jungle" refers to the horrible conditions of a Lithuanian family that moved into the US, also had to work, live, and die for the food companies in Chicago. "The Jungle" talks to a couple who go to an area of Chicago, "known as Packtown," in Lithuania. Packtown is the middle of Chicago's meat packing industry. It is a challenging, dangerous, and very filthy location where it's hard to find a job. Some relatives of this couple and themselves get a house, but find out it's a swindle. Expenses growth and compels the children of the family to find work such as the adults. Jobs in Packtown are back-breaking, dangerous, and have no regard for individual workers. The oldest of the family gets a job, however it is to difficult for the old man and he immediately dies.
