Gender inequality refers to unfair or unequal treatment of individuals based on their femininity or masculinity. Upon further reading, I realized Rob insinuated that Valentine's Day was a creation of women and the intention was to coerce men into buying presents. His assertion was that girls were opportunistic, materialistic and constantly plotting to find something from men.
