People today feel a need for justice so they do not feel wronged and handled unfairly. The ways individuals seek justice differs. All conflicts begin because someone is looking for justice. "The Declaration of Independence" is a great example of people seeking justice. The Colonists felt that they were wronged or treated unjustly by Britain so they wrote the statement to get justice and to not be daunted from the British. The Reason it was known as "The Declaration of Independence" is because the colonist were declaring their freedom from Britain because they felt that they were being wronged. The founding fathers start out the statement by explaining all the god given, inalienable rights everybody should have. After the government does not respect those rights that this is what they state, "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it's their right, it's their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security" ("The Declaration of Independence" 156).
