Themes of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure Exposed in Angelo’s Soliloquies Angelo’s soliloquies (2.2.161-186; 2.4.1-30) express designs of the tragicomic type, nature and grace, development of self-knowledge, mercy and justice, and loss of life and creation as areas of Angelo’s character.
