Experts of Differentiated Instruction Differentiated instruction is a method of thinking about learning and teaching. It means using a number of instructional approaches that address varied student learning needs. It places students at the center of learning and teaching and pupil needs drive educational preparation. Differentiated learning is a way to improve learning for all students by engaging them in activities that respond to specific learning needs, strengths and tastes (Wikipedia, 2002). Realization that students vary in their readiness, interests, and learning is crucial to student achievement. It is very important that students of varied cultural backgrounds have a variety of instructional approaches to foster education and learning. It is excellent to have a whole melting pot effect but in the exact same time everybody differs and these differences must be addressed. Knowing that stage, educators then focus on mastering the same topics and abilities in their own classroom but use different content, strategies, and products to achieve the curricular objectives. If everybody is educated at the exact same level employing the very same strategies then education becomes robotic and mechanical.
