Claude's Life Story During his lifetime, Claude Monet had an incredible talent for painting. With a creative mind and the creativeness to paint the skies, Monet made a world of magic and emotions. He also set the standards of Impressionism with conclusion. His painting method attracted a sense of beauty of expressions and light to the world, letting it understand where he left his mark in the history of art today. Claude Oscar Monet was born in Paris, France, on the fourteenth day of November, in 1840. At age five, Monet and his family moved to Le Havre in which they had a prosperous business of selling groceries. They were very proud of the fact they had a good amount of money coming in per week by their business. Evidently, they were hoping that youthful Monet would soon take his father's position of being the owner of the store. However, for Monet, the idea of becoming a owner of some dull grocery store did not intrigue him , nor the money. He wanted something else in existence. Attending school two or three years later, Monet appeared to be a collapse to his family. In college, he was reported for rude behavior and nonsense, which wasn't tolerated in schools back then. The household received constant reports about him being undisciplined. After hearing the reports, day in and day out, Monet's family agreed with the teachers who Claude will be "unlikely to generate a victory in his life (Sheff 1)." Showing no fascination whatsoever for college, Monet has turned into a failure. The only thing that he enjoyed about college was the ability to paint. Finally he became so very interested with painting which all he ever did was paint. It turned into an addiction. At age fifteen, his addiction enabled him to make money for his paintings. Now the future life of Monet became more evident. Since Monet climbed, his love of painting grew. He started to examine drawings when he was a teen. He was also tutored by Eugene Boudin, a former performer, who taught him strategies about painting (Encarta 94). Monet attended the Atelier Libre, a college where he met the subsequent Impressionist group (Chew 1). There, he met Auguste Renoir who soon became a close friend of Monet's. In college, he was taught everything about painting and art. What influenced Monet the most were Realist ideas.
