Among the most significant religious holidays in Romania is Easter, the yearly festival commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on a Sunday on changeable dates between March and April. Usually It's a week after the Catholic Easter. Back in Romania, the Christian Church claims that Jesus was born during the winter solstice and his departure followed closely with his resurrection happened throughout the spring equinox. Everybody, rich or poor, dresses at their very best clothes; many are dressed in national costumes and head to the midnight church service. Candles are lit in the priest to every person during the service, solemnly utter "Jesus Christ has resurrected" and sing betrayal.
