Ogasawara's article takes an interesting approach in assessing the behaviour of office girls. She starts out by stating that women are those that are working beneath the men and that they need to be subordinate. She also talks about how men have more power and space to grow in their careers while the office ladies are stuck inside their ranks as they are and aren't expected to try hard and perform well because there's absolutely not any space to be promoted. It seems like this report is going in the way of discussing the hardships of workplace women at this point. On the other hand, this report requires a sharp turn and begins talking about the way in which the office ladies actually have an advantage. Though they are in the bottom they actually have the most power over what goes on at the top. A professional lady can opt to do the job for a manager if she likes him or decide that she's too busy that afternoon and bypass her assignment. This will impact the male's performance because his job might not get done on time. It is because of this that the male managers pamper the office girls and try to stay popular together. They even have certain holidays like Valentine's day which examine the prevalence of the supervisors by the amount of gifts that they get. The manager's whole career depends on how well he handles his employees so he tends to try very difficult to get as many gifts as he can from the office girls.
