Intro In nature there's a method, which operates, in this way that there is not any waste. Nutrients and metabolisms go through a bicycle, going through different transformations. 1 easy cycle is the practice of exhalation of carbon dioxide. Plants and human beings exhale carbon dioxide, and that can be taken in by plants, as it is an important component for its own food making process known as photosynthesis. Leaves that fall into the floor are naturally broken down into nutrients for the soil and fertilisers for trees. (McDonough and Braungart, 2002, Pg. 92) All these relationship cycles in nature can be implemented in design as well. Buildings as dwelling organisms always change in time. It might be due to a change in usage, weathering, and vandalism by the substances that they're built with. They grow and degenerate, absorbing the unnecessary that they find within their own surroundings and setting free whatever is no longer desired. (Hinte, Peeren and Jongert, 2007, Pg. 18) Once we recycle structures, there are various strategies that can be applied, reusing the facade, and incorporating substances, which remain on site and even by encapsulation. There are a variety of approaches as each derelict building has its own historical individuality and complications.
