Following the defeat of Germany, the allies turned their attention on beating Japan. On August 6, 1945, 8:16 A.M, Enola Gay finished its mission and fell the 9000lb "small boy" on Hiroshima. 78,000 killed instantly and many others were to expire within 5 decades. All collectively, 250,000 citizens of Hiroshima were killed. Another bomb called "fat man" was dropped on Nagasaki 3 days later, killing 40,000 people. Even the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki would be the quickest way to end the war with the fewest casualties.
