The Flagler Museum has been an adventure unlike any other. From the minute I walked through the doorway into the grandiose hallway, to the instant I stepped back to reality in the dream which I believed I had just been a part of, I was in utter awe and amazement at the detail and decadence of the former home. The rooms which I found to be most fascinating in terms of color and texture were that the Master Bedroom, the Blue Room, the Pink Room, The Library, along with the Yellow Roses room. The Master Bedroom was among the first rooms that I put out to see, and I had been pleasantly surprised to discover that the color they had picked for this particular room was yellow! The very first thing I felt upon viewing with this brilliantly colored space was instant happiness, because everything was bright and cheerfully lit in the afternoon sunshine. The colour of the room not only contributes to the sense of radiance and cheer which the room itself has to give, but it commands this sense. The vivid hue of yellow which was selected for the walls combined with the creamy colors of warm and ivory golden that occupy the furniture are extremely complementary to each other, and especially into the air of warmth and sun that the room emits. It would be tough to assess this space in terms of layout with no colour impacting the feeling of the space itself. The yellow is not just a component of the space, but a mere element that leads to the atmosphere of the room as a whole, but instead it is the controlling component, the determining factor of what the air of the space will be.
