Constantine I had been the first Roman emperor to declare Christianity as the official religion of Rome and its empire. I pioneered the concept of carefully intertwining the country and religion. I provided compensation for Christians who had been previously persecuted. I am well known for my great success in conflict. I flew the flag of Christ for everyone to see rather than lost a battle under it regardless of what the chances. I had been born at Naissus, between 274 and 288 A.D. as Flavious Valerius Constantinus. With my father as emperor, I left as a general to fight the Celts from the British Isles. I won many battles and became beloved one of my troops. When dad retired, I had been one of the best choices for emperor. I had been selected to rule out the eastern empire while my brother-in-law Maxentius dominated the western kingdom. Maxentius fought with another emperors Severus and Galerius for additional property. During all this I remained from their battles and defended my frontier borders against the German barbarians. After Galerius was killed, Maxentius concentrated his wrath on me, tearing down statues of me and declaring me that a tyrant. Even though Maxentius’ army numbered at the hundred thousands, mine had been only a little but beautifully trained military ranging from twenty five million to one hundred million men. With his huge benefit I realized I had help in a major way, and so I turned to the Lord. I committed my military and life to him. I received a vision from God where I was shown a crossover together with the Latin inscription “in hoc signo vinces” so “in this sign you will be victorious.” I then went and put the Greek emblem of Jesus Christ on all of my warrior’therefore shields. I stumbled into Rome defeating Maxentius on many occasions. However, the Important defeat arrived on October 28th 312, when my army massacred Maxentius’ together with the help of God. Maxentius himself was murdered when he was struck into the river along with his armor hauled him to his departure. One of the first things I did after Defeating Maxentius, was decrees that the Edict of Milan. This enabled Christians to practice their religion freely from the Roman Empire.
