Social Networking or Internet 2.0 is a valuable instrument which has become widely popular in the current society. I'm new to this kind of networking, and that I was confronted with a quick introduction into a huge world of electronically shared communicating via social media. The final media mission in this course is to suggest and resolve one of three possible problems - using two of four interpersonal media communication programs. My passion is to assist other BRCA+ girls gather the strength and knowledge needed to create the very difficult decision of having prophylactic operation. The health community will inform you the choice is correct, but only another woman who has gone through the process can really attest to the emotions involved. Prophylactic oopherectomy is also considered in this decision however it is much less emotional as bilateral mastectomies. If accepted, my BRCA+ patient research disseminated through Internet 2.0 networking will allow me to assist this little subset of women; individuals that are trying to choose between prophylactic mutilation, or surgically induced menopause, even in trade for a lifetime without cancer.
