Evaluation of the Manner Where the Director Has Brought the Film into a Satisfying Conclusion Gurinder Chadha who is the producer, director and writer of the movie had one intention. Her intention was to make folks think that anything is possible. Gurinder does so by challenging the viewer's expectations. Right from the start of the movie, the name is contradicted by phoning the movie 'Bend it Like Beckham' then showing an Asian woman playing soccer. This does not match the viewer's expectation which is obviously a boy and surely no of an Asian woman. She has created a film to reveal the struggles of a girl who dreams of playing soccer while fighting her civilization and maintaining the disposition with a hint of Indian humour. The movie comes together nicely with a satisfying ending and also a use of different practices & meanings to fulfil the directors intentions. Different techniques are used from light, editing, camera and sound to create a story and purposeful ending. These include to the cinematography that can help put the film together. As an example when Jess receives her outcomes her mom prays that they're great to their God. Here there's usage of high angle shot, to show in the God's view. This also reveals the expression on all their faces, particularly Jess to show how miserable she is.
