The term social anxiety isalso, by most, not associated with being a serious, mental illness. The frequent person normally believes someone with social stress is just not a "people person" However, social stress was defined as either a disorder or anxiety. Social Anxiety Disorder is a real, underdiagnosed psychiatric illness which should be known not as only shyness, but a psychological illness with symptoms and remedies. It's a disease which is getting more and more widespread as time progresses. Due to the technological improvements and appliances that exist in today's era, there has been an overall change in the average number of social interactions which the everyday person may have. This also leads to an exceeding number of individuals who get anxious, frightened also, of being at any kind of social situation. Nearly half of Americans labels themselves as shy; mostly everybody has had stage fright at some point in his/her life. For a shocking quantity of people, this kind of scenario is horrendous ("Beyond Shyness and Stage Fright" 1). The stage fright "becomes a disorder when the resulting symptoms make people miserable or severely interfere with their job, friendships, and family life. This insatiable fear of certain personal encounters and societal situations is called social anxiety disorder or social phobia, and it's increasingly understood to be a curable illness" ("Beyond Shyness and Stage Fright" 1).
