It is evident in the two plays with William Shakespeare that pride and vision seem to be the "main" roles in the self indulgent of Macbeth and Shylock. At Shakespeare's tragedies, he conveys his most famous sense of dignity and strength found in guy. "It generally presents the collapse of a guy who might be basically or initially good but is always corruptible throughout the temptations of the world and his own pride or ambition"(Felperin 158). Throughout the entire play we begin to see the transformation unravel. Their desire to be on top of earth begins to destroy them from the interior. In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth is the catalyst that drives Macbeth to a personality which pushes for success and will do anything to acquire the "earthly" possessions that he desires. On the other hand, Shylock is a character that is driven by resurrection to gain what he thinks he deserves. Both personalities start to drastically wither away as they dig deeper to gaining what they believe they are owed. While the ego destruction of Macbeth from William Shakespeare's Macbeth and Shylock from The Merchant of Venice are similar in their ambition for power and push for success, they vary considerably in the results of the activities, while they both have horrible flaws interweaved in with ambition and pride (Sukanta 173). Macbeth is liked by all because the beginning, but the transformation starts with a single strategy caused by his wife.
