The choices people cause them to wherever they wind up, which may be translated as the reverse of fate. But when some folks think something is intended to be, they are determined not to roam from where they think that they must wind up, even if it means throwing away their values and principles in the procedure. Through Shakespeare's Tragedy of Macbeth, Macbeth's original character and values are destroyed due to the influence from the witches' prophecies, Lady Macbeth's greed, along with his own hidden ambition. Macbeth begins to defer from his original personality when he learns of their witches' prophecies, which directs him to believe he's fated to be king and to pursue that "destiny." Following the witches create the prophecies, he merely views the notion of himself getting king as a tool which "Stands not within the prospect of perception" (I. iii. 77). Macbeth's disbelief of their claim of him obtaining the crown reveals how Macbeth doesn't expect that the witches' words and has no legitimate ambition to become king. But shortly after Banquo's and Macbeth's experience with the witches, a messenger of the King greets him with the title of Thane of Cawdor as well as the name of Thane of Glamis as the witches had also done. Both of these names are seen from Macbeth as "Two truths [that] are told/ As happy prologues to the swelling act/ Of the imperial theme" (I. iii. 140-142). Having one of both prophecies become reality supports the witches' phrases and makes Macbeth take their words seriously to be the truth, igniting his appetite for power to fulfill the last prophecy. He now believes that what the witches have created it his destiny to become king, and it is his obligation to fulfill it. During Duncan and Macbeth's dialog, Macbeth hears about Malcolm b.. .
