Throughout background many civilizations and cultures experienced their own means of explaining the world and its own creation. Each one of these civilizations has created exclusive accounts and descriptions of such events. However, when you compare them to one another, are they different really? Consider the ancient Greco - Roman creation myths as told by Hesiod in his Theogony and Works and Days and Ovid’s Metamorphoses, in comparison with the creation myths as observed in the Old Testament’s book of Genesis they might not be as different as you would think.
