Discipline is one of the basic items a child learns from his parents before he or she faces the outside world to learn more about life as a whole. Teaching this trait may depend on how the parent shows it to their child and the way in which they explain the value of having this attribute both in and from their own homes. Misbehaving children can't be avoided as they are curious little beings and they have a propensity to explore. But there are a few parents, even teachers, who do not tolerate educated and they resort to corporal punishments like spanking to guarantee the child never forgets how debilitating it's to misbehave as they will remember the punishment entailed to it and become more educated. But not all children would understand the logic of their parent and the consequences might not go in favor of their parents. It's my view that children must not be subjected to this kind of punishment, particularly spanking, to discipline them as there are impacts that may emerge if this practice is continued. My standing in this matter can be clarified with three motives. The primary negative impact of spanking is the changes which will occur in the child’s mental and social aspect which may evolve into a far sever problem later on. In Marshall (2002), he notes that when a child is continuously subjected into spankingnew, the traits he or she may grow would not be constantly disciplined. He'd believe himself an outcast and some could develop visionary and independent traits. The human spirit is resilient and completely discharged itself after being tested through pain but if a person, say somebody they could trust as a parent, then it may not always revive itself back to normal however efficiently change the child all together. It might also change.
