A Christmas Carol was written as the 19th century reached its midpoint, a period where the world had changed dramatically due to the industrial revolution. Loaded men, the minority, had accumulated large sums of money, moved to towns and lived wonderful lives. But life was dreadful for the majority who were weak and couldn't afford basic necessities like shelter and food. This inequality might have been rectified if money was dispersed in a more virtuous and an uncorrupted way. For this reason, Charles Dickens tries to show that in the kind of literature in his critically acclaimed book A Christmas Carol. A Christmas Carol has been constructed in a very careful and smart method. Segmented using five star, A Christmas Carol begins by portraying Ebenezer Scrooge’s unusual attitude for his fellow man. Staves two, three and four show the way his mindset gradually changes. Once Scrooge is shown, by three ghosts, how he became the man he is, the ramifications of his current activities and the final ghost shows Scrooge the way the entire world would perceive him when he passes away if he fails to change his manner of life results in him understanding why he wants to undertake drastic changes to his life. The final stave, which conveys equal importance with the first stave, demonstrates how Scrooge utilizes his new method of thinking to amend all the damage he's caused. More to the point, Dickens made this awesome structure because he intends the reader to change their method of thinking.
