Strength in the Ocean American article writer Napoleon Slope once stated, “Power and development arrive just through constant work and struggle.” In particular, Ernest Hemingway’s short novel, The Old Guy and the Ocean is certainly an allegorical tale about existence’s benefits and challenges. In this whole story, Santiago challenges a total great deal while at ocean but in the end he comes out a solid guy. On the surface the story appears to be about a man who struggles to catch a giant marlin and who struggles to protect the marlin against the sharks.
