Poetry is a form of literature that may be characterized by means of rhythm. Poetry may be short or might be long. There's absolutely no limit to themes that a poet may use for their poem. While one poem talks about love for a lady, the other explains what love is generally speaking. Theses two poems are "When You Are Old" by William Butler Yeats, and "Let Me Not to the Marriage of True Minds" by no other than William Shakespeare. In our very first poem, "When you're Old," Yeats utilizes his decorative language to rhyme about the love of a lady whom he handles. He starts his poem by telling her that when she's "old and grey and full of sleep" and sitting by a fireplace, reading a novel, she will dream of the "soft appearance her eyes once had" as a younger girl. (Yeats 600) He's by expressing how many men had loved her in her "moments of glad grace" which a youthful woman may possess. (Yeats 600) You will find men who seemed past her beauty and voiced true love and there were those who did not appear at her internal beauty but the outer beauty with "love false." (Yeats 600) But there's one guy, William Butler Yeats, who loved the questing, "pilgrim soul in [her]," and adopted and "loved the sorrows of [her ] changing face "as she sheds her youthful beauty. (600) Since Yeats concludes his poem and the lady is by the "shining bars," the fire area, she "murmurs, a bit sadly," how love has escaped her and "hid his face amid a crowd of stars," which are always lovely to look at.
