Willy Russell's Educating Rita The play is in a fair setting. The whole play takes place within one area, particularly Frank's office; a book-lined research in a college in northern England. The drama itself is structured into two Acts. The very first act deals with Rita starting her hunt and her education, wanting desperately to fit to Frank's world. During the play the nature of Rita is totally altered. And this has to be shown through the way the actors play their characters and how that they interact on the stage. Initially she struggles greatly with her language abilities, just managing to create the essential abilities after her success at the summer school, to succeed at the next action. Since the very first action encounters the breakdown of Rita's union with Denny; the next half of the play shows evidence of a solid rift between Frank and his partner Julia.
