My interest in info research first emerged while focusing on household survey and medical studies at RTI International and Duke University INFIRMARY. While working in various roles in project administration, operations, and training, I became involved with a variety it activities including, owning a field test of fresh project software and equipment; identifying practical requirements and creating specs for task data and websites collection equipment; testing systems; offering troubleshooting support and functioning as a liaison between administration and IT personnel for system adjustments and new advancements. I immediately regarded the centrality of details systems in research not merely because they facilitate top quality data collection and evaluation but also because they support logistical, training, managerial and communication actions among project personnel who are usually organizationally and geographically dispersed. As I was subjected to a broader selection of applications I became increasingly thinking about how these were designed and implemented and also how they could best be utilized to enhance the product quality and efficiency of work. Working with managers closely, programmers and customers to build up and modify our task systems, I started to identify the diversity of perspectives that effect decision-making and form how problems are described and solutions analyzed. These distinctions could possess significant impacts, both negative (we.e. miscommunication, conflict) and positive (i.e creativity, improved quality) on the project's success.
